From enquiry to driving lessons in three clear stages
You don't need to work everything out before getting in touch. Tell us where you are with your driving and we'll help you choose the most suitable way forward.
Tell us where you are now
Let us know about your previous driving experience and whether you already have a practical test booked. This gives us the information we need to point you towards the right course.
Choose the right route
If you're building your skills before looking for a test, our 25-hour course can get you up to speed quickly. If your test is already booked, we'll help match your training to your experience and test date.
Book and start your training
Once your course arrangements are confirmed, you can focus on the driving. Your lessons are structured around making useful progress rather than waiting a week between sessions.
Which route are you on?
Your starting point determines the type of intensive course you need. Choose the option that best describes where you are now.
Build a strong foundation in 25 hours
A concentrated block of training designed to develop your car control, core routines and confidence without relying on one lesson a week.
Keep developing your driving while you look for a suitable practical test, either with further lessons or safe private practice in your own car.
Training matched to the time you have
If your practical test is already confirmed, we'll help you choose a course based on your current experience and the time available before your test.
Different course lengths are available, giving you a practical way to fit more focused tuition into the period before your test.
Different roads.
Different skills.
Learning intensively isn't about driving the same roads again and again. A useful training area gives your instructor opportunities to develop control, planning and decision-making across a mixture of driving situations.
EXPERIENCE
Your training can move between different road types as your confidence and ability develop.
Start with control
Quieter roads can give you the space to develop steering, positioning, observations and junction routines before adding more demanding situations.
Develop planning
As your control becomes more consistent, busier roads create opportunities to work on anticipation, lane choice, meeting traffic and making safe decisions with less support.
Handle higher speeds
Faster routes allow you to practise joining, leaving, maintaining appropriate progress and looking further ahead as the driving environment changes.
Good preparation is about learning how to deal with the road in front of you — not memorising a particular journey.
Keep the learning moving while it's still fresh.
Intensive training gives you the opportunity to revisit skills sooner, spend less time getting back into the rhythm of driving and build on what you learned in the previous session.
Each session has the opportunity to pick up where the previous one left off.
Stay familiar with the car
With lessons closer together, there can be less need to spend the beginning of each session rebuilding familiarity with controls and routines.
Practise while it's fresh
New skills can be revisited and developed again relatively quickly, helping lessons feel more connected rather than like isolated weekly sessions.
Build one stage onto the next
As your driving becomes more consistent, your instructor can introduce new situations while continuing to reinforce the skills you've already been working on.
The aim is concentrated practice with enough time to understand, repeat and develop each skill — not simply squeezing lessons into the shortest possible period.
01 Do I need to have my driving test booked?
No. If you don't yet have a practical test booked, our 25-hour course is designed to help you build strong car control and core driving skills quickly.
Afterwards, you can continue developing through private practice or further driving lessons while looking for a suitable test.
02 What if I already have a practical test booked?
If your test is already confirmed, you can choose our test-booked route. The amount of training you need will depend on your previous experience, current ability and the time available before your test.
03 Is 25 hours enough to get me ready for my driving test?
The 25-hour course isn't sold as a guarantee that you'll be test-ready after exactly 25 hours. Learners develop at different rates.
Its purpose is to give you a concentrated period of tuition in which you can develop good car control, driving routines and experience before continuing your preparation if needed.
04 Can I learn in a manual or automatic car?
Manual and automatic intensive driving courses are available, subject to instructor availability in your area.
05 How quickly can I start?
We aim to get intensive-course learners started quickly, with courses often able to begin within seven days. Actual availability will depend on your requirements and instructor availability when you book.
06 Will all of my lessons take place in Eastwood?
Not necessarily. As your driving develops, your instructor may use a wider range of roads and surrounding areas so that you gain experience of different traffic situations rather than becoming dependent on a small number of familiar routes.
07 What happens after I book my course?
Once your booking has been processed, you'll receive the information you need to move forward with your course, including access to your pupil information and the details needed for your training arrangements.
