- Fully qualified driving instructors
- Tuition considered around your test date
- Availability checked before payment
Check Course and Instructor Availability
Tell us about your practical-test booking, preferred course, location and availability. If you already know which course you want, select it from the form. If you are uncertain, choose the guidance option and tell us about your driving experience.
Select your preferred course from the list and provide your test, location and availability details. The additional driving-experience questions are optional.
Select “I would like help choosing” and complete the additional questions about your recent experience and current driving.
How Test-Booked Driving Courses Work
You can select one of our advertised course lengths or ask for guidance. In either case, we must check your test details, location, availability and instructor requirements before the course can be confirmed.
Provide Your Test Details
Tell us the exact test date, time and driving test centre.
Choose or Ask for Help
Select a published course or describe your experience so we can discuss the options.
We Check Availability
We look for a suitable instructor, transmission and workable lesson schedule.
Confirm the Arrangements
Course hours, payment, timetable and any test-car use are confirmed individually.
Which Position Are You In?
I Know Which Course I Want
If you have read the course descriptions and know which option you want, you can go directly to the availability enquiry.
- Select your preferred course length.
- Provide your test date, time and centre.
- Tell us whether you require manual or automatic.
- Include your postcode and lesson availability.
- We check availability before requesting payment.
Help Me Choose the Right Course
If you are uncertain about the number of hours, give us an honest picture of your recent driving and current ability.
- Previous professional driving lessons.
- Recent private practice.
- Previous practical-test attempts.
- How independently you currently drive.
- Skills or situations where you still need support.
We must first confirm a suitable instructor, available timetable and any proposed test-day vehicle arrangements. No fixed number of hours can guarantee that a learner will reach test standard or pass.
Already compared the course options? You do not need to read every section before enquiring.
Go directly to the course availability form →How Much Preparation Might You Need?
There is no reliable formula based only on the number of lessons you have previously taken. Recent experience, independence, consistency and the time remaining before your test all need to be considered.
Assess Your Current Position
Think honestly about these questions before choosing a course length or submitting your enquiry.
Skills may need rebuilding after a long break, even if you previously completed many lessons.
Consider how often you still need help with planning, speed, junctions and decisions.
Towns, faster roads, roundabouts and varied traffic conditions may all be relevant.
Tell us about any driving faults and the areas that have been worked on since that attempt.
The test date and your lesson availability determine whether a proposed timetable is workable.
Which Description Is Closest to You?
These broad descriptions provide context, but they do not prescribe or guarantee a particular course length.
Substantial Recent Experience
A lower-hour option may be considered when your driving foundation is already strong, varied and recent.
- Generally consistent vehicle control
- Recent experience in varied conditions
- Limited areas still requiring support
- Enough time to arrange focused preparation
Some Useful Experience
A medium-length option may suit someone with established basics who still needs broader development.
- Basic controls and routines established
- Some junction and traffic experience
- Several skills still need development
- Consistency and independence need improving
Limited Experience or Beginner
A longer course provides more development time, although further tuition or practice may still be required.
- Controls and routines still being developed
- Limited independent road experience
- Multiple topics require structured tuition
- Concentrated learning must be manageable
No questionnaire or fixed number of hours can guarantee test readiness. Your practical-test booking, proposed course and use of an instructor’s car remain subject to instructor availability, assessment and agreement.

Focus on the skills having the greatest effect on safe and independent driving.
Use explanation, demonstration, guidance or prompts where helpful.

Yes. The courses on this page are specifically for learners who already hold a practical-test booking. Include the exact date, time and test centre when submitting your availability enquiry.
If you do not have a test booked, consider our 25-Hour Get Up to Speed Course instead.
What if I already know which course I want?
Select your preferred test-booked course from the availability form. You can then provide your test details, postcode, transmission preference and lesson availability without completing the optional course-guidance questions.

You can also review the available options on our Courses & Prices page .
Are manual and automatic courses available?
Yes, we check for both manual and automatic driving instructors. Availability depends on your location, test centre, proposed dates and the instructor schedules available when you enquire.
Can my instructor collect me from home?
Yes, your instructor can collect you from home when this has been included in the arrangements you have agreed. Alternatively, you and your instructor may agree another convenient meeting point.
Can I use the instructor’s car for my practical test?
Test time and use of the instructor’s vehicle may be included in a test-booked course when this has been specifically agreed as part of your arrangements.
This depends on instructor availability, the test location and the instructor being satisfied that it is safe and appropriate for you to attend the test in their vehicle.
When will I need to make a payment?
We first review your enquiry and check for a suitable instructor and workable timetable. If the proposed arrangements can be confirmed, we will explain the applicable deposit, balance and payment instructions.
Please do not make a payment before availability has been confirmed.
Is the course guaranteed to get me ready for my test?
No fixed number of hours can guarantee that every learner will reach test standard or pass. Your instructor will use the available tuition to develop safer, more consistent and increasingly independent driving.
Progress depends on your existing ability, previous experience, learning pace, course attendance and the amount of preparation time available.
What happens after I submit the availability form?
